1. (Optional) Sub in your best run blockers on the left side of your kick return team.

2. Make sure you have your best returner in. Overall rating is meaningless. Important stats are speed and acceleration. Whoever is fastest should be your kick returner. If there is a tie use acceleration as a separator.

3. Select Return Left

4. Control the furthest up and most left player(he’d be on the right when looking at the screen). As the ball is kicked move forward just a little bit. This will make this player engage the oncoming guy almost instantly instead of waiting for him to run 20 yards downfield to block.

5. Hit change player twice(the previous player should be down field engaging in a block with their furthest up, most left player) and take control of the returner #2 and put him directly between the sideline and the left hash(the “left” side where all your men are focusing their blocks). Place him about 8-10 yards ahead of your returner. He will now act as your fullback.

6. Just follow your blocks at this point. You should out number them on the left side about 7 to 4 or so. Using this method, my Kick return average is 45 yards. If you don’t score, you almost always end up around the 40 yard line.

I wish I could give pictures could that would really clarify what I’m saying, but let me know if you need some help on this, and I’ll do my best to describe it.

Try it out and tell me how it goes.
